Not good, dirty, expensive & unfriendly. i only stayed 1 hour as my kids wanted to leave, this is not a good sign! we've been to loads of play areas and this is the worst one... the pottery painting studio was a right mess, we were aiming to stay for lunch but i would probebly have maxed out my visa card. DONT GO IT'S RUBBISH!!

I would just like to say how lovely and friendly Little Hoppers is. I went this week to find nothing but happy chatty staff who could not be more helpful. I went with my baby to have some hand and foot casts done and was really thrilled with the outcome.
I love their facilites which are always refreshingly clean and great for children of all ages.
The food is fab. I must say I had one of their homemade caramel slices which was yummy!
Will be going again with a group of friends

Just had my son's 4th birthday party at Little Hoppers last night (4.15pm - 6.30pm) and I was very impressed with everything! We booked a Teddy Bears Party - the bears were brilliant with a larger one for the birthday boy and T-shirts to decorate for the bears. Also had pass the parcel and a choice of hot or cold food - we decided on the hot food and it was very good with plenty of it and lots of juice with 10 free tea/coffees for the adults.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and everything was very clean!
I would book again and would recommend it to anyone - I would say that the ideal time to book is 4.15pm as it was very quiet unlike weekends at any soft play venue.
Thanks to the staff for making it such an enjoyable party for us all!

Little Hoppers is a family run business with dedicated friendly staff who do work very hard. Unfortunately there are times when due to unforseen circumstances, i.e illness, staff are unable to work, however the staff who remain on hand to help, only work twice as hard.
Little Hoppers food is all freshly made on the premises and not processed like Macdonalds. Our portions are very substantial and our prices are below other facilities of this kind within the locality. We serve fresh coffee, homemade cakes and meals which people only praise us for.
The Laser Zone is open daily, however, during a toddler session we only open for pre-bookings, therefore on this particular day, would not have been open in any case.
The craft activities on offer is "Crafty Pots" ceramic studio which is open for anyone to paint 7 days a week.
I can understand Angela's concern and because we pride ourselves on a business which has been established for nearly 4 years, we would like to offer her the opportunity to visit again for free to enjoy a better experience. Please contact Emma or Stephen via e-mail through our website: www.littlehoppers.co.uk

We have just had our daughter's 5th birthday party at Little Hoppers. We chose a Teddy Bear Party this year, as for the past 2 years we have had the soft play and the ceramics. When I booked the party, I was dubious about the quality of the bears which the children had to stuff themselves. However, the bears were gorgeous and really good quality. They were easy to stuff and came with t-shirts which the children designed themselves.
I was so impressed with the whole thing and the organisation etc was second to none.
My daughter loves Little Hoppers, she always has a really great time, so that means we love it too!
Thanks to all the staff at Little Hoppers for always being friendly and amazingly remembering my daughter's name every time we go.

I went to Little Hoppers last weekend and had a really great time with my two girls. It was really busy which I was initially worried about as usually these places are not well managed, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly and supervised the play equipment well (there are always those kids who want to run up the slide) The tables were kept clean and the food was lovely, my 2 girls ate all of theirs up which makes a refreshing change.
I had promised my girls that as a treat they could choose something to paint in the ceramics room. The girl who helped us was lovely and chatted to the girls whilst I had my coffee in peace (What a joy!). We were asked to call back the following week for our pots. We have just been today and my girls are overjoyed with the results.
We love Little Hoppers and will keep going back again and again. Well Done!

I have recently visited Little Hoppers and find it pleasant friendly and enjoyable. I cannot truly believe the negative comments which I have read about Little Hoppers and I feel these must surely be sent by someone who has a personal grudge against the owners of Little Hoppers. We have had a wonderful experience there and intend to continue visiting a place with a variety of activities.

I've just got back home from little hopppers and i'm glad the whole experience is over! I picked up one of their leaflets from morrisons and thought i'd take the kids there since the weather was bad. I wish that i hadn't bothered because it was horrible. Another lady in their wsn't impressed neither. The staff were disgusting and rude and the place itself was very mucky. One thing good came out of it though - someone recommended another play area in Whitby that's supposed to be brilliant, so we're gonna try that out tomorrow. I won't go back to little hoppers though.

I do not agree with Liz G. How can anyone give such a horrible place 5 stars. It's filthy and the staff are very unfriendly. I would not trust them to look after my children anyway! If this is one of Scarboroughs achievements, then it doesn't say much for Scarborough does it. I think I'd prefer to go to playzone rather than little hoppers.

I think it's very unfair to criticise what is a fantastic achievement for Scarborough! Little Hoppers is fantastic - it is unsupervised but what are parents for after all! My child is 3, she can run about, have fun in a safe friendly zone, I can relax with a coffee, but she is my responsibility! It is a great place to visit. I highly recommend it!

What an appalling Play centre Little Hoppers is. The staff are very unfriendly and I was made to feel very unwelcome during my time there. I'm glad I chose to eat at McDonalds instead, if Chloes comments are anythiing to go by. I will not be taking the kids there again. I'd recommend all Scarborough people to go elsewhere - don't waste your money!

The worst play area I've ever visited. I was appalled at how dirty the place was. I didn't want my daughter to take her shoes off and I completely agree with the lady above - the toddler area is very dangerous! I decided to live dangerously and try the food - What a mistake!!! A five star disappointment.

I took my son and his friend (Both 10) for an afternoon out as we had some free and reduced price vouchers. They were mainly wanting to have a go at the fairly new Lazer Zone for which we had buy one game get one free vouchers, to which we added a meal deal (total cost for two £12.50) You order meal while they play 1st half hour game, have meal then play 2nd free game. Their 1st game was just the 2 of them in there, and the 2nd some other people had arrived and they enjoyed this more. I had some food while they played and it was good value and tasty. They had an hour in the play area afterwards (1 free and £1 off the other voucher). All in all the facilities are excellent, the staff, although young, were courteous, helpful and friendly, and kept the place clean and tidy. A great place to spend an afternoon and have lunch.

We recently visited Little Hoppers for the first time - my two girls aged 5 and 8 loved it. We only came for the soft play this time, but they will definitely be back to have a go in the Ceramic Studio which has some lovely looking pots to decorate at reasonable prices. The home cooked food was delicious and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Absolutely brill. Took our 1 year old and she loved every minute. Great restaurant/cafe for Mum's/Dads with good viewpoints of kids playing. Clean changing facilities too.
Just as a point to note - children AND adults must wear socks - luckily my husband had some on (I had flip flops) so he had to help out lol.
Also - beware that when we went, there were quite a few over 4's that had managed to sneak into the baby area and use their toys and lets just say that their play was fairly rough. There wasn't many supervisors around to stop them - the onus (sp?) is on the parents to control which unfortunately some didn't carry out. Grrr.
Overall - brill afternoon, clean and cheap. Would go again in a shot - but with socks on this time.

This place is fantastic, my kids love it and want to go again and again. They've added a new twisty slide to add to the fun now. There is something for all ages (up to twelve) although adults with children are allowed on the slides too so if you feel brave have a go! The service is great - friendly, fast and efficient. The food is lovely, generous portions, wide selection, reasonably priced. There are changing facilities in both gents and ladies loos and even little toilets for you little one to use. They've thought of everything.

This is a new place in Scarborough and I think it's brilliant.
It's a massive indoor play park for babies and kids of all ages.
there are slides, a ball pool and netted soccer/ basketball area and also a soft play area for under 1's.
The staff are excellent and everywhere is clean.
It has cafe facilities and they serve a wide variety of snacks, drinks and lunches which are well worth the money.
Plenty of highchairs which are lovely and clean for when the little ones get hungry.
Changing area is within the toilets but is very clean compared to some you see.
Well worth a visit.
