Cheeky Monkey's is a relatively new facility, and a welcome activity venue for parents and children in Cambridgeshire. The playbarn is an indoor/outdoor facility, based on the Chaplins Farm in Fulbourn. It has all the usual indoor climbing frame type activities, but also the benefit of a large outdoor area, which includes a huge sand-pit with mechanical diggers, small animals, tractor rides etc. There is a small shop selling local produce, and a café selling fresh home-made snacks, lunches and drinks at fair prices.
The playbarn is family run, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The children have a lovely time, and there is a quiet "lounge" area with sofas for the parents to relax in, as well as a café area. This makes it a real pleasure to visit.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone with children aged about 8 or below.

Maybe just went on a bad day but found the staff to be really impatient and short with the kids. Wouldn't go back :-(

We visited on a very hot sunny day, so it was great, the indoor play area was just right, you can keep an eye on your little one whilst having a cup of coffee, outside was great, lots to play on. We didnt eat, but the food smelt good. Prices were reasonable. Pick your own fruit gave a nice, calm break from running around. Staff were friendly. We travelled 45 minutes to visit & it was worth it, we stayed for about 3 hours! Would reccommend on a nice day & if you like all the facilities offered. http://www.cheekymonkeysltd.co.uk/

Better than Funky Fun Factory in Cambridge, as it has a good outdoor area. Indoors it can be a bit crowded. There's a separate small-ish area for toddlers and babes, not quite as good as FFF, but different. The big climbing structure is about the same as FFF's, maybe slightly smaller.
This place wins for its outdoor area, when the weather is good.
Entrance fee of £3.50 per child is the same, only it doesn't include a drink.
Parking (free) is adequate to plenty, but if busy you'd have to park on unmetalled field area which could get muddy in winter.

A great activity place which opened in summer of 2005 with friendly staff and great fun for the kids. It has an indoor soft play area (medium-sized), including a separate section for the smaller members of the family, refreshments and a fabulous outdoor play area too. Throw in pick your own at the farm, and a really great day out can be had! I didn't have to use the facilities there on my visit, but as the place it tailor-made, I'd be surprised if they didn't meet the high standards throughout. I breastfed in the main seating area and nobody batted an eyelid. Farm shop also offers some additional temptations for home.
