Visited last Saturday with my 16 month old, he loved looking at all the animals, many of the viewing areas have clear glass to the floor so it's easy for toddlers or those in buggies to see.
There were plenty of high chairs in the cafe, and the food is reasonably priced. The soft play kept him happy, although it is relatively small.

The Nature Centre is in Edgbaston very close to Birmingham city centre and is a great place for the kids to explore and discover nature.
There are lots of widlife habitats, which are home to a wide range of animals, including deer, owls and otters.
There is an environmental centre, play area for toddlers under the age of 5, gift shop and cafe. Recommended to visit for a couple of hours.
Opening hours: April to October, daily 10.00am- 4.00pm; November to March, weekends only 10.00am-3.00pm
Admission: Adult £1.60; Senior £1.00, Child Free (20% discount to adults accompanying children under 5)
