It's a fantastic day out for everyone of every age, and whatever the weather! There's plenty to see, several good cafes, a pub and a tearoom. There are plenty of toilet blocks around the zoo with basic but clean baby changing facilities. It's best on a dry day as there's a lot outside but there is quite a bit indoors too and they have made a 'wet weather trail' which is good if it's raining.
The staff certainly all seem very friendly, and there are areas within the baby changing areas to breast feed (but I found there were plenty of outdoor areas where it was also possible to discretely breast feed).
For older children they have a new ark play area - my little girl's still a bit young but it certainly seemed to be very popular!

AN EXCELLENT DAY OUT FOR ANY AGE, ALTHOUGH THE TOILETS AND BABY CHANGING ROOMS ARE NOT AS CLEAN AS THEY COULD BE.

One of the best UK zoos, definitely a must to visit. Has a vast range of wildlife too many to mention also lovely gardens which are immaculately presented, friendly/helpful staff. Kids (and no doubt the adults) will love also the monorail and/or canal boat ride, face painting, brass rubbings, Roman corner. Hotel/restaurant, cafeterias/gift shops, ice cream kiosks available although if it's dry take a picnic, returning to the car park to eat/rest is no problem. Flat shoes recommended. Baby changing facilities at various points onsite are clean and functional. Admission for children under 3 is free. Adults approx £13 (includes a £1 donation towards the upkeep of the elephants).

One of England’s best zoos, animals live in spacious outdoor enclosures. There is a glass sided penguin pool, the ‘Twilight Zone’ bat cave, a tropical house, and an endangered species island.
We enjoyed going on the monorail and going a waterbus ride. There is also Children’s petting zoo. Great day out for all the family
Opening times: summer 10.00- 17.30 daily; winter 10.00-15.30. Admission: £10 child £8 family £36.
