Nicolas,
I think the restaurant closed as a result of the extortionate rental costs on the Kings Rd. I am pulling a business plan together to do something very similar in Clapham...do you have any contacts for old management or staff of the Blue Kangaroo? I'd be really interested in speaking to them. Thanks.

Fab place to go. We had our daughters party here the other week and it was really well done.

Fulham Broadway tube is closest, at 10-15 minutes walk. Pay and display parking close by. Play area entrance costs from £2.80 to £3.80 depending on age for one a half hours. Special events during half terms.
Quite simply a perfect place to take children while parents have a quiet space to have coffee or a nice meal. Why aren’t there more of these places around? The idea of the Blue Kangaroo is to provide decent environment with decent food too.
The children’s meals are made with fresh ingredients and I can vouch for the tasty sausages in particular. Organic is used when possible, prices are deliberately kept as low as possible.
Having a Sunday lunch is very popular. Parties can be catered for for £15 per head.
Blue Kangaroo have just announced a new weekly play session for children. Every Thursday morning between 10am and 11.30am Squiggle the Story Teller will be visiting to entertain your little ones. The sessions, which are free of charge, will include story telling, drama, music and puppets to create a magical make-believe world for the children. Parents and carers will be encouraged to join the children singing songs such as ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ and ‘See the Sleepy Shepherd’. Squiggle will also hand out bells, cymbals, whistles and gongs to encourage children to create their own music.

I totally agree with Annabel. This is a great place. It is purely aimed at families which I think must be unique. It is a restaurant with a play centre (which is clean which makes a nice change) and is a nice place for adults as well as children with good food for everybody.

This is a fab place, just what every town needs incorporating a restaurant and play area. You can either drink/eat in coffee bar downstairs in the play area, or eat in the restaurant upstairs (and can monitor little ones playing in soft areas on a big screen). Lots of food is organic and plenty of choice for both parent and child. They know what they are doing here and seem to have every base covered.
