Reviews and details of facilities:

I'd heard about the Lazy Daisy from people I like a lot and whose opinion I rate and so arranged to go with a friend and our respective young sons to eat there.

It was a glorious sunny afternoon on Portobello Road and we walked the length of it searching for 59a (which is at the South end of the road). The Cafe was worth the hunt. It's tucked away down a little alley that opens out into a gorgeous courtyard filled with sun. Indoors is beautifully decorated with a lovely feel to it - full of wooden furniture and sofas and clean open space.

Service was great. Although the two high chairs were already taken, we were directed to a corner table with big wicker chairs that the toddlers could occupy and call home. Our food was great and the toy box offered up suitable distractions when the meal was done. The little child-friendly touches extend to a few toddler-height sinks in the bathroom and a changing area with complimentary baby wipes!

Worth the trip - a lovely find.

I can heartily recommend this place. They do kid's meals, including organic baby food, have two high chairs, a nappy changing place & the most child-friendly staff you could ever meet in London!! There's a little courtyard for al fresco running around, otherwise they are happy to have your little darlings crawl/toddle/walk around inside. When it's not too busy, they will play with your child (giving the parent a chance to read the in-house newspapers) and ask the young customer what colour cup they'd like for their milkshake. I've even seen them give a broom to a little 'helper'!
